My name is Priya. I’m a teenager, but I don’t think I’m like most teenagers.
I don’t really care about clothes or fashion, I kind of just wear what’s comfortable, suitable for the day’s weather, and is in my clothes drawers.
I’m a huge fan of Doctor Who. It’s an incredibly deep, thoughtful, and beautiful television show. On the contrary, I also love Arthur, Doc McStuffins, and Sofia The First. They are so fun and light but I enjoy thinking about them more thoughtfully.
My taste in books is similar to my taste in television. I do not like young adult books. Alright, I’ll admit that the Hunger Games books were not that bad, but I’m just not into really deep, violent, and depressing books. I tend to read middle grade books, but I’ve read a variety of them, from the 11 Birthdays series by Wendy Mass to the WondLa series by Tony Diterlizzi.
I love to listen to music. My music taste doesn’t vary much. This may surprise you, but I’m a fan of Taylor Swift music. There, I said it. Everyone judges her, but for what? She is an incredible songwriter. My theory is that those people that dislike her have either never really listened to her music before or are secretly fans themselves. In addition to T.S., I also like Ed Sheeran, Lorde, Birdy, and Nina Nesbitt.
I’m a really quiet person. I don’t have many friends. It’s not because no one likes me, it’s just that I’m too lazy to go and actually talk to people. I have trouble to connecting my thoughts to my lips. When I know what I want to say, and then I say it, it just comes out weird and all muddled. I find it much easier to connect them to my pencil or through a keyboard.
This is why I have a blog. I want my writing to be shared with people other than those in my family. I want to say in written words what I can’t say in spoken words.
Thank you for reading this, and I hope you enjoy reading what I have to say.
